Compete in the Art Competition
The 25th Annual Holiday Art Competition is scheduled for Wednesday, December 1st and is the first event in our series of The Holidays in Historic Frederick. All visual artists are invited to compete for the $1,000 prize for best depicting the theme of “The Holidays in Historic Frederick”. The primary focus of this competition is to select one piece of artwork to be used for the Celebrate Frederick 2011 Holidays Promotional Marketing that captures the essence of the holidays in Frederick.
COMPETITION DETAILS
- Date - Wednesday, December 1
- Location - Delaplaine Visual Arts Center, 40 S Carroll Street
- Time - Doors Open to the Public 5:30 pm / Winner Announced Approximately 6:15 pm
COMPETITION APPLICATION PROCESS
All applications and entry fees must be postmarked by or turned in by Friday, October 1, 2010. Applications can be downloaded below or requested by calling 301-600-2841 or emailing kscrivani@cityoffrederick.com. Applications and payments will be accepted:
- In Person - The Office of Special Events, 121 North Bentz Street, Frederick, MD 21701. We are located at the Talley Recreation Center in Baker Park.
- Via Mail – Mail to The Office of Special Events, 121 North Bentz Street, Frederick, MD 21701, ATTN: Holiday Art Competition

ENTRY FEE
A $10 non-refundable entry fee per piece must be submitted with your application.
- Cash or Check Payment - Can be delivered or mailed along with your application. Please be sure checks are made payable to Celebrate Frederick Inc.
- Online Payment – NEW IN 2010, entry fees can be paid online using PayPal. PayPal services coming soon!
